Hi all,
In my Power BI report I am connected to a Sharepoint (Online) List. In this list, I changed the names of some columns. The updated names are showing in Sharepoint itself and in other applications such as PowerApps, but they do not update in Power BI for whatever reason. Still no success after reconnecting or clearing my cache.
Cannot find the solution here... Can anyone please help? Thanks in advance.
Similar issue in another thread but without many helpful replies: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Sharepoint-list-columns-do-not-update/td-p/353533
Open the Transform Data Window > Advanced Editor > Change the api version to 14 the previous version [ApiVersion = 14].
This has been open for two years, is there a Solution available for this yet?
I have the same issue.
It happens for me like this.
1. List is created with a template
2. List columns are RENAMED
3. Seem that the RENAMED columns return the ORIGINAL NAME in Power BI Query
You may check code in The Advanced Editor.
Thanks for the reply @v-chuncz-msft, but as far as I can see, the advanced editor is merely for editing the column names in Power BI itself. I want the column names to be updated to what they are in the source, when I have changed the column names in the source itself.
