Sharepoint Folder to Power Bi - Access to the resource is forbidden

Hi Team,

I am connecting the excel files from SharePoint Folder to Power BI Desktop. While connecting to SharePoint Folder, i am facing error: "Access to the resource is Forbidden". I tried with different possibilities, but still it is not connecting to SharePoint Folder. Even though i have full access to the SharePoint site, i am not able to connect it. Below are the Screen shots.

Hi @prakash11440278,

To connect to SharePoint folder, the specified URL should be site URL which is similar to:

https://microsoft.sharepoint.com/teams/sitename

If your site is Office365, please enter Microsoft Account using the third option in the above screenshot. If your site is on premise, use Windows credentials.

Best regards,

I'm also still having the issue.  Now even if I close out of PowerBI Desktop it just assumes my credentials and says access forbidden.  I'm the site owner, it was created through Teams.

Hi, I'm still getting the same issue, I have Organisational credentials. I have also tried Windows. When I try to get a 'New Source=Web' and put the SharePoint link, it gives me the same error message: We encountered an error while trying to connect. Access to the resource is forbidden. Thanks

HI, I am also getting this message. Updates Power BI desktop client to the latest version, cleared permissions, nothing helps. 😞
