Anonymous Instead of creating a PBI report from scratch, you can try bringing in the files in the folder in a new PBIX file and if it works there, then copy everything from the "advance editor" to your original file and replace the existing one and see if it works.
As you said, format of the excel spreadsheet has changed and hence, there might be some disconnect which powerBi might be unable to notify you about.

Hi LP280388
I have opened a brand new PBI Session - Get Data - SharePoint Folder - Copy & Insert Site URL - Transform Data - I Filter Extansion Column to display only xlsx. files as my file is that. - Folder Path - Load More
The new file is not showing. I don't understand.
Any further suggesions please?
Many thanks
