SharePoint list to PowerBi data types

Hi there!

I want to produce a visual in PowerBi from a SharePoint List.  When I export the SharePoint list the column is converted to a text data type replacing the it with numbers.

The list data is from a lookup.

but the column converts the number of types of category into a column of numbers in PowerBi desktop.

Can anyone advise on how I change the data type as I have 3 different lookups in the SharePoint list.

Many thanks to anyone who reads this - much appreciated

@BrownCat , Based on what I got. Open Power Query, check for first change type step and correct(overwrite if needed) the data type in that step
