SharePoint list connection through 365 authentificator does not work

Hi community,

I have seen a lot of posts regarding this issue. However, none of the "solutions" worked in my case.

I try to connect to a SharePoint (full access profile) through PowerBI but the 365 authenticator takes forever with no results. I can confirm that I have access to the Sharepoints contents because I can open them in my browser.

I have followed all suggestions on this forum (clear Permissions, update my powerBI version, etc..) with no results.

Everything worked fine until last Thursday, March 14th, when suddenly I could not update my queries because I was not able to connect to my data sources (SharePoint)

Any suggestions?

    Hi Anonymous ,

I suggest you to have a try to use ODATA to connect to it.

    • Open Power BI Desktop > at Home Tab > Click on Get Data > Select OData Feed.
    • Type the OData Feed URL for the SharePoint "http://siteurl/_vti_bin/listdata.svc" > Click Connect.
      • ListData.svc provides a way of getting information from a list using REST.
    • In Navigator dialog, Select the required list > Click Load.
    • You should now find the list fields in Fields section, and you should be ready to build your report from SharePoint list items.

        Hi Anonymous ,

Based on my test using the Power BI desktop vierson2.67.5404.581 64-bit (March 2019). I cannot reproduce your issue here. You can create a support ticket for help if you are a pro user.

        Regards,

        Frank
