Hi, we are using SharePoint list as source in our tableau dashboard. In the share point list we have couple of rich text fields for which data contain in different format (paragraph, underline, numbering, text format) as if customer can format the text how ever he wants to do so. So when we try the rich text in to normal text in Power Bi modeling we are loosing all text formats (like paragraph, underline, numbering, text format) and everything getting displayed as normal text. Currently we are using HTML.table option in Power Bi.
Advise if there any alternative to convert SharePoint rich text to normal text without loosing text formatting
Sincerely,
Krishna.

Hi, @Anonymous
According to my research, here’s a blog that discusses working with using Power BI to report on rich text fields from SharePoint, you can take a look:
https://whitepages.unlimitedviz.com/2018/04/power-bi-report-rich-text-sharepoint/
The blog also introduces a custom visual called HTML Viewer to show the Rich Text in full fidelity, you can search for it here:

No. Plain text does not have formatting. You can't have rich text without rich text.
I totally agree, I mean to say is there any way we can convert Rich text into Rich text like in Power Bi so that way we can convert rich text to pail with text formats.
You can't display rich text in Power BI except with a custom visual like this one:
