Hello,
I am pulling document info from a sharepoint library using the odata connector and _vti_bin/listdata.svc. This is working well with one exception...I can't find any column relating to the record label.
If I export the library to excel the column is there, why isn't it found using odata?
Thank you
Hi @PBI_Rookie,
The reason the Record Label (Compliance Tag) isn't appearing can be because the listdata.svc OData endpoint is a legacy service (REST v1.0). It primarily surfaces only "traditional" SharePoint columns and may fail to expose modern Microsoft 365 compliance features like Retention Labels or Record Labels.
I would suggest you to instead use the more recent SharePoint Online List Connector
Instead of using the OData/Service endpoint, use the native Power BI SharePoint List connector. This connector uses the modern REST API (v2.0) which has better visibility into hidden or "system" compliance columns.
For this, you can follow the steps below
The Export to Excel uses creates a .iqy file that probably calls a different set of APIs, hence its not comparable with using odata connector in Power BI.
Try the SharePoint Online List 2.0 implementation and let me know how it goes!
Thanks & Regards,
Bipin
