Hello,
In power bi desktop we user SharePoint Online connector V1 to connect to multiple tables in Sharepoint lists with 100k and more records. This V1 connector is no longer working and all our reports have finallyt stopped refreshing due to the many hours it takes to refresh. I think we simply hit the limit with the V1 connector.
We tried the SharePoint Online V2 connector , but that doesnt work. It only loads the folders and does not load any records within the folders. In a list of 100k items , it will only load our 50 folders that we keep the records in to overcome the 5k view threshhold. So the V2.0 sharePoint online list connector is useless.
I can export the SharePoint List to excel in less than 1 minute and all 100K records are available. Can Power BI use the same type of connection ? If Excel can loiad 100k records from sharepoint in less than a minute, why cant Power BI?
I really dont want to use the REST API as described in other posts, but would like to find a solution that uses exactly what Excel uses.
Any suggestions?

Hi @lcasey
If the data set size is relatively large, it may cause problems such as slow refresh or refresh failure,
I also find a similar post, please check if it can help, https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Slow-refresh-of-SharePoint-list-data/m-p/134425
