Here are some areas that we'd like to hear about in particular:
Thanks and we look forward to hearing your feedback!
Hi Sharlkaur
It seems that there's missing a checkbox in the new options and controlpane (under "Copilot (Preview)"):
There should definately be an option to remove or disable CoPilot for good, as it is NOT ready for development or deployment.
Looking forward to that option in the next version.
Best regards,
Jais
If I got it right you need to have either P1 or F64 to get a Copilot so either way it's $5k/month?
You need member or contributor access to at least a single workspace that is assigned to a paid Fabric capacity (F64 or higher) or Power BI Premium capacity (P1 or higher). To learn more about this, please read Announcing Fabric Copilot pricing | Microsoft Fabric Blog | Microsoft Fabric
Currently the Copilot is only able to retrive information on the visual in the current window. It would be essential if it could retrive information from the underlaying dataset without data being shown. For example if I have a table visual with a lot of rows, it is not even able to retrive information from rows that is not visable in some cases.
Thank you Anda for sharing the feedback. We are looking into this.
Doesn't work for me!
I have the same problem and wasn't allowed to select a compatible workspace.
Hi @Tallyski ,
Could you share more with what you mean by "wasn't allowed to select a compatible workspace."? will it be possible for you to share your steps? this way I can look at the steps and see whats missing. BTW if you haven't read our blog, here is the link to the blog to help you get started - Introducing Copilot Pane in Power BI Desktop (preview) | Microsoft Power BI Blog | Microsoft Power B...
I'm sorry, that was poorly worded. I didn't get the option to select a compatible workspace. It went straight to the error message. I have looked at walkthroughs, and it seems a window should open to give you the option. Nothing opened for me.
Thank you for your response. could you share the error message with me here? We will look into the root cause
Hi,
Could you confirm if you selected Copilot compatible workspace? Here is the blog explaining the steps to get started - Introducing Copilot Pane in Power BI Desktop (preview) | Microsoft Power BI Blog | Microsoft Power B...
Please note that you have to select a copilot Compatible workspace to get started with Copilot in Desktop Report view. The workspace you select here doesn’t need to be the same as the workspace where you’ll publish your report.
Ooops. Didn't see that, but I guess I can't use it than as I don't have a compatible workspace.
Hi all,
I would like to add a link to the Blog for the above and welcome you to use the Copilot chat pane in Desktop feature (preview) and leave your valuable comments below to help make PowerBI better. Thank you!
