Key Takeaways & Data Story:

1. Defining the Metric: Period life expectancy measures the average number of years a person born in a given year is expected to live, assuming they experience the prevailing mortality rates of that specific year.

2. The Global Trend: The time-series analysis confirms a consistent, upward trend in Period Life Expectancy across virtually all nations, a testament to global progress in health and living standards.

3. Geographic Clustering: North America, South America, and Europe currently boast the highest average life expectancies.

4. Asian Leaders: Notably, Japan and South Korea stand out as the only two Asian countries where the average life expectancy has surpassed the 80-year milestone in 21 centrury.

It looks really good for your first report. You can be proud. 🙂
One suggestion would be to let the colors go from red to green as the life expendency increases.
It will make it easier for the end user to intuitively understand the development as that is the most common way to use the colors.

Thank you Thomas!
