Well, the idea being that there would be an account for our senior managers to use with read only access to only the tables we give those rights to. That would alleviate having to create Windows accounts for each user to have read access in SQL. At least I know the answer so thanks.
Right, it's a conflict/dilemma between convenience and auditability. You can't have both.
