Shapes on line Graph keep disappearing behind the visual

Hi

I trying to add a shape to my line  graph as a crude marker of sorts, just a simple indicator.  I tried the formatting to bring the item to the front, send the line graph to the back, grouped the shape and line chart but it still disappers when I click the visusal.  Is this possible or do I need to come up with a different solution?

Example, arrow is just to draw your attenmtion to that data point, but when I click the visual it disppears then comes back again when select a differet section outside graph/chat area.

Make your background transparent for the line chart.
