Shape Map not working

Hi

My shape map is not showing any data. i have put in the office location in the legend, put states in the location. also tried changing data category to state etc.

Basically, I want all the states where the office is located to show in different colors.

Any ideas why the data is not populating on the map?

thank you!

    Hi Anonymous ,

To undersand your scenario better, could you share the data sample so that I could copy and test on it?

In addition, you also could share the screenshot of your issue so that we could help further on it.

    Best Regards,

    Cherry

      Hi Cherry,

My data is in the format Country>State>City, all in one column. For eg. US> TX> Austin etc.

      USA > TX > Carrollton
      CAN > ON > Oakville
      CAN > ON > Oakville
      CAN > ON > Oakville
      CAN > ON > Oakville
      CAN > ON > Oakville
      CAN > ON > Oakville
      USA > RI > Remote
      USA > TX > Carrollton
      USA > TX > Carrollton
      USA > TX > Carrollton
      USA > PA > Conshohocken
USA > IL > Lake Forest
      USA > PA > Conshohocken

I am using that field in the legend, so the legend gets populated but the map is blank. I am using the avg. compensation increase in the color saturation field. Hope that makes sense. I am new to BI and community and can't seem to share a screenshot here.

Hope that makes sense. let me know if you have any ideas.

      Thank you

        Hi Anonymous ,

It seems that you use this column as Legend.

Which column do you use as Location in Shape map?

Normally, the value will show in the map with location column.

        Best  Regards,

        Cherry
