Shape Map for Harris County, TX school districts

Hello everyone,

I've been beating my head against a wall for the past few days trying to figure out how to create a shape map which as all of the independent school districts (ISD) in Harris County, Texas.   I need to show the boundries of each school district, each in it's own color, and able to be interactive with a slicer.

There is a reference layer I can add through the ArcGIS visualization but I can't customize it at all, so that doesn't work for me.

I've also tried messing around with a JSON file from the Texas Education Agency's website but I can't get anywhere.  This is whole new territory for me.  Any guidance you could give me would be incrediably helpful.

Thanks!

Kyle

You can create a custom shapefile outside Power BI and convert it to GEOJSON.

See this solution from DiscoverEI ( @cborovac )

Otherwise, you can look into using the custom visual MapBox:
