Shape Map - can the topojson file for a visualization be controlled by a filter
I have a shapefile managed in Arc/Q GIS with what is apparently a large number of polygons. I say apparently because Power BI slows to a crawl using a Shape Map visualization. It certainly could be possible to create a large number of topojson files if that would help. However, I wouldn't want to manually select a custom file each time I moved from one subset of polygons to another.
Is it possible to control which topojson file is used in a visualization by a filter? Or is it required to select Shape under the Format tab?

Hi akorejwa ,
Sorry for that, Based on my research, it is not supported yet currently. We also not found an effective solution to control which topojson file is used in shape map by a filter, perhaps you can submit the requirement to ideas and add your comments there to make this feature coming sooner: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas
