Shape Map Visual Has a popup error that doesn't clear
Hello Team,
I clicked on Shape Map Visual for my data but it's stuck in an endless popup error loop. Whether I report the issue or cancel the popup. How do I get out of here. Basically my Power I is frozen with that popup. I am afraid of losing progress and data if I close the app using windows Task Manager. How do I navigate this?
Hi, I hit the same Shape Map popup loop before. First try pressing Escape and Alt+F4 while the popup is focused, sometimes the modal is just holding focus and one of those releases it.
If Desktop is truly frozen, closing it from Task Manager is the standard way out. AutoRecover is on by default (File, Options and settings, Options, Global, AutoRecover, saves every 10 minutes), so on next launch Desktop will prompt you to restore the recovered file and you only lose whatever happened after the last snapshot.
To stop this from happening again, turn off the preview visual: File, Options and settings, Options, Global, Preview features, uncheck Shape map visual, then restart Desktop.
If this helped, a thumbs up and marking it as the accepted solution would be appreciated.
Best,
Shai Karmani
