Shape Map Legend Latest Year

Create a column similarly as below:
maxyear = MAXX(ALL(Table8a),'Table8a'[Year])And you will see:
For my sample .pbix file,pls see attached.

Hi v-kelly-msft , thanks for the reference. This put me down a path of reviewing maxx and it looked like what I was seeking blogenterprisedna had documentation for.
For those not wanting to click on the url the solution is:
Max Date =
VAR CurrentName = 'Dataset'[Name]
RETURN
MAXX(
FILTER( ALL('Dataset'), 'Dataset'[Name] = CurrentName ) ,
'Dataset'[Date Taken]')
Then placing Max Date in the legend.
