Setup PBI gateway on server for cloud data
Hello,
We are using PBI Pro desktop version and have installed Gateway succesfully on my laptop, the scheduled reports run per schedule provided the computer is turned on. Now we would like to setup the Gateway in AWS (so it is always running) and our data is pulled from Cloud. I couldn't find much documetnation for this use case.
Can anyone please confirm if we can install the gateway on AWS and connect to a cloud data source? If so, can you please point to the correct documentation. Any help is highly appreciated.

Install gateway to the virtual machine is similar as installed in physical devices, you only need to configure your VM firewall rule/policies to confirm they can connect your datasource and send/receive correspond requests from power bi service.

BTW, it seems like you are getting data from cloud service, normally power bi not required gateway to manage refresh operations of these type datasources, you only need t update your credentials to confirm refresh works.
