Setting corporate color theme as default in PBID?

Is there a way to set my corporate color theme as default in my PBID-editor? I've made a JSON of it, but as for now I have to load that for each new report. Would be nice if it was set as default in the editor.

Regards,

John Martin

Hi @jmkvalsund ,

You can try to open Desktop, import the custom theme and then save it as a PBIT file. Later when you create a new report, just open this template file and it will keep the custom theme.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.

That is a workaround, and not a solution.  The requirement is to have the theme applied when in Desktop app and creating a new report.

The workaround presented as the solution is actually harder for me than just creating a new report and applying the theme to it.  With every release of Power BI Desktop there is an accompanying theme layout json which may give us new features.  Using the work-around I need to remember to update my template when I update my theme.

It doesn't stick to my editor, I have to import it for each new report. When that report is saved, the theme stays in that report but not in new repports.

@jmkvalsund , You can import that using the theme. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-report-themes

But I am not sure if you change the default theme
