Setting Default Slicer/Filter Value

I have a slicer/filter that contains 3 values, "Actual", "Budget", and "Last Year", and I can't seem to get the slicer to save a default value.   I will set the slicer default to "Actual", save the pbix file and then publish it to the power bi service.

But whenever I open that report, it always opens with none of the items selected.

Is there a trick to setting a default slicer that I'm missing?  I've read some info on creating a measure with the default value but can't seem to quite figure it out.

Hi @ptmuldoon ,

For slicers, it is not possible to set them directly, but you can use bookmarks to set the default values. For filters, make sure the current report saves the filter settings. Or you can use a url filter.
