I've read a few posts on this and I can't tell if I'm doing it wrong, it's a bug, or it's just not possible.
I have a report that has two graphs that show test results over time and two cards that show some data summaries of that data. I have a date slicer to change the dates of the graphs and the data summaries. I also have a few other slicers that let the user select a product category as well as an individual product. I want to create smart buttons to default to "1 year data" and "2 year data".
To do this, I created a bookmark called "1 year data". I set the date filter in the filter window to "relative date" and "in the last 365 days". I selected both of my graphs, the cards, and the date slicer. I set my bookmark for "data", "display" (I've tried with and without this clicked), "selected page" and then set it to "selected visuals" and then pressed "Update". I attached this bookmark to the button press. I've done the same thing for "2 year data" with a filter for "in the last 730 days".
It doesn't work. It works fine when I use "all visuals". I can easily toggle between the last 1 and 2 years worth of data but it always defaults to the product that was selected when the bookmark was created. I want the user to be able to select their desired product and then be able to press a button to toggle between 1 and 2 year data without having to reselect each time (or having to type in start dates).
I appreciate any direction on if I can use bookmarks for this or of there is a different way to approach it. Thanks in advance!
@KH88 , You have use a combination of selected visual and uncheck data option

@amitchandak , I read the article and thought it was well written but I don't know how to use it to solve my issue. If I uncheck the data option then it doesn't save my date filter either. I need it to save the data filter but not any of the category slicers. I tried again by selecting only the visuals where I wanted the date range to apply (not my slicers) and tried to set the filter for "last 365 days" and unchecked data and nothing happens when I click on the bookmark.
