Set a relative default date on a slicer? (Between slicer)

The relative slicer is very helpful for date filtering, however, there does not seem to be anyway for an end user to specify a range.

I would like the page to load showing the last 6 months, HOWEVER, I need the user to be able to change that to any given date range.  (Perhaps we are doing sales over the last 6 months but now they want to set the filter for 2015 through 2017).

There does not seem to be anyway to accomplish this.

I tried syncing the filter to another filter with the new "sync slicers" but doing that seems to change the relative slicer to the between slicer or vice versa.

I was hoping I could set relative last 6 months and have that impact the between date filter...however, that does not seem to be the case.

It doesn't support to set a default value on a slicer currently.

You may vote for similar idea to improve this product: set default values to the slicer
