Set Default Canvas Type And Dimensions
Hi tecumseh ,
Unfortunately, Power BI Desktop does not currently allow you to set a custom Canvas Type and Page Dimensions as the default for new pages, even in the latest versions, including Power BI Desktop November 2024. Each time you add a new page, you’ll need to manually set the Canvas Type and dimensions.
You can try using the 'Duplicate Page' Option or Custom Themes (Partial Control)
While Power BI themes don’t directly support setting Canvas Type or Dimensions, you can set default styling elements (e.g., background color, font, and visuals) in a theme file. This won’t automate the canvas size but can help maintain consistent visual settings across pages.
Please mark this as solution if it helps you. Appreciate Kudos.

Hi tecumseh
As FarhanJeelani mentioned, the Power BI Desktop does not support the fixed size by your custom design, The default display view is Fit to page and the default display size is 16:9 , you can only change the canvas settings manually, and it will not save your change when you create a new page, you need to set it again, you can refer to the following link to know more.
