I have a data model with 2 tables DimEmployee (Employee information) and FactHours (Employee work time and other measures). DimEmployee has a ManagerID which is also an EmployeeID of the manager of the employee. Therefore, I have implemented PATH function to create hiearchy and traversing. So far so good.
In visualization, I have
page 1 - shows list of employees with current month hours and other measures.
page 2 (hidden) - this is a drill through page using EmployeeID. User can navigate to this page from page 1 by drill through on Employee Name. This shows Employee details - monthly hours, department, Manager Name, etc.
Problem statement:
Now I want to create drill through from Manager Name to page 2, so I can see Manager's detail and it's Manager and so on. There are 6 possible levels of hierarchies. But I am not able to acheive this. Do I have to change the data model or is it possible with UI layer itself?
