Hello All,
I am looking to create a report where the end user can select Fields from the dashboard itself and use it to create Tables and Charts.
The idea is that end user can do basic reporting and select Measures and Dimensions from the list in slicer and create tables.
I am trying to create:
1) a merge table in the transformation window and
2) to list down all the Dimensions coming from different tables.
3) Then Unpivot the table and join it to the column Index table to show in the list.
Challenge here is that multiple merged tables have their unique keys which is not letting to unpivot the table on other columns.
Any help or ideas around this is highly appreciated.
Hi @v-kkf-msft - Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately I'm working on 2020 version of Power BI to meet my end user demand.
I have created merged query (table) in Power query tab to combine different tables of database and get all the required columns in 1 single table. Further, unpivoting the table for self service needs.
But facing challenge to get the calculation columns in the list (eq. count of each id column).
Any thoughts?
Hi @Rahul_Hisaria ,
The latest version of Desktop already has a new feature: Let report readers use field parameters to change visuals (preview)
So we don't need to unpivot columns anymore.
If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.
Best Regards,
Winniz
