I recently created a slicer panel following the guy in a cube directions, the problem is the selection groups I create don't save when I save and close the desktop version. So every time I re-open I need to re-create the groups then edit the bookmarks to get the report to behave as selected. I know it's difficult to troubleshoot without sharing (can't share this data), but does anyone know why this might be happening? Do I just need to avoid grouping them and use them all individually?
Hi,
having the same problem still with Nov 2024 and also the given solution keeps working. Many thanks
I had the same issue. Thanks a lot for the solution !
My company is having these issues too. I think it might be related to the Feb 2023 Power BI desktop update.
I may have found a solution someone else posted, can't find it now, it's at least worked so far for me so hopefully works for you. Go to File > Options & Settings > Options > in the Current File Section go to Report Settings, then check 'Use the modern visual header with updated styling options'.
I only created one group and saved/reopened once to check it but so far looks good.
Oh, my God. This caused COMPLETE chaos for me, with Groups ungrouping and reordering elements, hidden visuals and text boxes reappearing. I keep everything neatly organised in groups, hold onto old visuals in case the client changes their mind. I had turned the reporting setting above OFF in options to solve my sticky mouse problem (which I think it did), but whodathunk it would send EVERYTHING else into meltdown. Before I found this solution (thank you, thank you 🙏) I redid all my groupings, only to have them suddenly disappear again. Wow, what a mess. The ungrouping and reordering is one thing, the bringing back zombie visuals was crazy. I put the option back on and everything seems stable now. Crisis averted, but that's an hour or two of my life I will never get back...
Works, Thanks
