Selecting Multiple Columns in Data View

I am trying to select multiple columns in the Data View section for a Power BI training using the ctrl button but it isn't working. I've also tried ctrl + shift and I've tried to look this up and restart my computer. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you

  • Hi,

The Data view allows only one column to be selected at a time in a table and won't work for multiple column selection like we do in excel using Ctrl/Shift buttons.

We can select one column at a time and in order to copy contents - It either allows copying the selected column/the entire data table contents.

Thaknk you for your response! Apparently I was supposed to be using the Power Query Editor, which is where you can select multiple columns.

      Hi Anonymous ,

You can once try uninstalling and re-installing the Power BI Application in this case.

You can use edit query where you can select multiple columns by pressing Ctrl+columns
