I belive if you turn on the bi-directional filtering on the item and itemfacility table also, you could achieve your goal.

If I remove the bi-directional filtering on the item and itemfacility table then it doesn't work both ways now.

Can you turn on the bi-directional for item to facility_item and facility to facility_item, which will alow you to filter item to facility and visa versa.

No we cannot do it in both places. PowerBI complains
