I am an experienced Excel VBA developer with around 10 years of experience, and I now want to learn Power BI from scratch.

While I am comfortable with data handling and automation in Excel, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by the vastness of Power BI, its different components, and the learning resources available.

I would really appreciate some guidance on how to approach learning Power BI efficiently.
Given my background in Excel and VBA, I believe I might have an advantage in certain areas, but I still want to ensure that I build a strong foundation.

Questions I Have:

What should be my step-by-step approach? (What should I focus on first, and what can come later?)
Are there any books or courses you would highly recommend for structured learning?
Which YouTube channels or video series are best for beginners?
What hands-on exercises or small projects should I work on to gain confidence?
Should I start with Power Query, DAX, or Reports first?
Any best practices or common pitfalls to be aware of?

My Initial Plan (Please Share Your Thoughts)

After doing some research, I am thinking of following this learning path:
