Security Question befor starting a Power Automate Flow

Greetings to all members,

I'm faced with a challenge that I can't really get any further with. We are increasingly using the Power Automate visual in our Power BI reports. In this context, the following question arises for me: How can I make it so that a kind of security query is made before the flow is started by clicking on the button. It would be nice if a question of the following kind appeared before: "Do you really want to start the flow?". In my experience, the user occasionally starts the flow before he has made the selection, with the result that a large number of data records are then transferred to the flow. I would like to avoid that if possible.

A second question related to this. Is there any way to reliably determine the number of data records transferred? And this before the flow is started. That would be very helpful, because then I could inform the user in the security prompt that a large number of data records are about to be transferred to the flow, which may not be what the user want.

Anyone have an idea?

I'm grateful for every hint.

Thanks and best regards
Martin Beering

Might be worth looking into the approval system in Power Automate. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/get-started-approvals ("Start and Wait For Approval" looks like a good candidate) Possibly setting up the approval at the start of the flow and instructing the flow to send an email to the requestor so they can approve their own requests to signal that their request was intended.

For your second question a bit more information about what the flow is doing is needed to answer that, can you describe what the flow is doing in a bit more detail? This may need to be defined in Power Automate and could possibly be added into the email "approval"
