I've seen in a colleagues report in a matrix visual the following:
How do you do that? I need that :).

Hi @DouweMeer ,
That’s the new “Cell elements” feature in the matrix visual – it lets you apply multiple layers of conditional formatting (like background color, font color, icons, etc.) on the same field.
How to get it:
If you don’t see “Cell elements,” update your Power BI or check if you need to enable it in the “Preview features” (File > Options > Preview features > “Cell elements in the matrix visual”).
That’s it! Let me know if you get stuck or need more details.
Hi @DouweMeer,
Just checking in to see if the conditional formatting using the Cell elements section in the matrix visual worked as expected. Were you able to apply the formatting to individual columns successfully?
If you have any further questions or need help with anything else, feel free to reach out.
Warm regards,
Prasanna Kumar

Hi @DouweMeer,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Forum Community.
In Power BI's matrix visual, you can apply different conditional formatting (like background color, font color, icons, etc.) to each column (called "series") using the "Cell elements" section. To do this, select the matrix visual, go to "Cell elements," and choose a column name from the dropdown under "Apply settings to." Then, turn on and customize the formatting you want. If you scroll down, you’ll see more entries for other columns, letting you apply separate formatting to each one.
Thank you & Regards,
Prasanna Kumar
Is this AI? You can see that I'm referring to that functionality, right?
Someone else states it is the version that mismatches, must be it.
