'Search' slicer that searches through the whole dataset

Hi

I have a requirement on a PBI project to include a search bar (like a google search) which acts as a slicer and is able to search accross the whole dataset.
I checked the Text Filter visual, but that's not sufficient as it works for only 1 column.

Thanks!

Hi  @Anonymous ,

It is a good idea, while this type of slicer is not available in Power BI currently. As a workaround, you can refer the following blog to do it. But it is limited...

Creating a slicer that filters multiple columns in Power BI

The following one is a similar idea shared on Power BI Ideas, you can vote it up and add your comments there to improve Power BI on this feature.

Slicer to Filter the whole report.

Or you can submit a new idea. It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What's more, if feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Best Regards
