Hi,
Request your guidance to solve this issue;
I have a table visual which contains huge volume of DATA, i would like to add a search box which will search on numeric values. Kindly advise how to make this happen
regards,
dsmitha
I found a way to solve this problem - duplicate the column with numbers in the source and format it as text. Now I can use the column with numbers in my visual, and use the text copy of this column in the filter, the search works well.
It help a lot with the list of payment for example, when I need to sort them by the number and have a possibility to search for a specific number.
Hi @Anonymous
Based on my research, Power BI doesn't support to add a search option to a table visual.
You can add a built-in slicer or custom visuals like Text Filter or Text search slicer to the report. However, the search option of a built-in slicer is only available when field in the slicer is Text type. And the above two custom visuals only work for Text type columns too. I don't find a visual that can search or filter numeric values.
