Gracias
Andrea

Hi @abadill ,
As far as I know, normally Power BI Desktop does not require a Power BI Pro license for us to importing or connecting to Excel files.
The Power BI Pro license is primarily needed for sharing content and collaboration within the Power BI Service, not for the functionalities within Power BI Desktop itself.
Here I have some suggestions:
If you want to get data from Power BI semantic models in Excel, you must have a Fabric license: Fabric (free), Pro or Premium Per User (PPU).
Fabric free license users can only work with datasets in My workspace or a Power BI Premium capacity or Fabric F64 or greater capacity.
For reference:

If this reply still couldn't help you solve your issue, please make sure whether there are some specific funtions in your file and please make sure the position of your excel file as lbendlin mentioned. (Online or local?)

Is this a .xls or .xlsb file? Where is it stored?
