Hi All
I am trying to run Print Manager and when I try and use it I get this error come up and no matter which option I choose, my print jobs are coming up as setup inactive.
Nothing has changed from one day to the next, Ive restarted all printers, modems and the like and there is no internet issue as I can see the printer details and everything, it just wont print from the computer.
Is there anyone who can help me understand what this error is and how to fix it?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Ok Update
There has been big problems with Window 10 and 11 updates upsetting some programs.
The fix was we needed to totally reinstall the Print Manager software and now its humming away happily.
Thankyou everyone for your time 🙂
This error message indicates a JavaScript issue on a webpage, rather than an issue directly related to Power BI. It appears to be a generic "Script error," which can often happen if the webpage (or in this case, perhaps an embedded component within Print Manager) is trying to load a script that fails to run correctly.
Here's what you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
Clear Browser Cache and Cookies: Sometimes, cached files or cookies cause issues with scripts. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then try again.
Disable Script Debugging in Internet Explorer: Some applications that use web components rely on Internet Explorer settings. In Internet Explorer:
Go to Tools > Internet Options.
Under the Advanced tab, check Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other), and uncheck Display a notification about every script error.
Update Internet Explorer or Edge WebView2: If the Print Manager software uses Internet Explorer or Edge components, make sure these are updated, as older versions can sometimes encounter compatibility issues with modern scripts.
Check Security Settings and Firewall: If the error is from Google Tag Manager (as the URL suggests), it might be that the Print Manager is loading an analytics script from Google. Check if there’s any firewall or security software blocking this specific URL, as it could interfere with the Print Manager’s operation.
Run Print Manager as Administrator: Sometimes, permissions can affect how scripts are executed within an application. Right-click on the Print Manager application and choose Run as administrator.
Disable Third-Party Extensions: If the Print Manager interacts with your browser, any third-party extensions (like ad blockers) might be causing this script error. Try disabling them temporarily.
If none of these steps help, it might be best to reach out to the Print Manager support team, as this issue could be specific to their software or configuration. Let me know if any of these steps make a difference!

@Hillbillyjayne , You are trying this from Power Bi Desktop or Web Browser. This does not seem like an error related to power bi service
