Schedule refresh on only single table in Dahsboard using PBI Desktop

Hi ,

 

Can we refresh only single table in dashboard using Power BI Desktop and publish to PBI servcie on daily basis.

or

 

Can we use PBI service to schedule refresh dataset on daily basis.

 

Coud you please suggest which is best way to handle this situation.

If you have multiple tables in you report and you only want to refresh 1 table on daily basis you can do that.

 

just deselect Include in report refresh from Power query. all unwanted tables that you dont want to take refresh on daily basis.

then close and save > Publish your report > do the schedule refresh on daily basis upto 8 times a day for Pro license users.

Within the Desktop, you can right-click on a table/query in the main area and select refresh. That will only refresh that table/query.
If none of the other queries need to be refreshed, go into Transfer Data and right click the table/query on the left, and select Do Not Load. This will prevent the scheduled refreshes from updating those tables/queries.

If you need more control, there are REST API calls to refresh specifics in a deployed model. - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/datasets/refresh-dataset
