Schdule Refresh

Hi Everyone , I am importing data from MongoDB atlas in Power Bi and In power bi service I am unable to do a schedule refresh
please have a look , getting this message

Hi @govind_021 ,

 

Please make sure that you have installed the On-Premise Gateway.
And you need to make sure MongoDB Connector and ODBC Driver Installed in local.

Hi @govind_021, may I ask you why do you decide to go with "Direct Query"? This connection type often is limited on types of transformations you can perform in PowerQuery. Try to do the following:

  1. Stay with DirectQuery mode and remove any complex transformations of you data (keep simple select columns, filter rows by static values but nothing more). Publish such semantic model and verify whether the issue persist
  2. If not, then the error is likely to be caused by transformation: go to import mode with all transformations you need. Publish semantic model and verify if it works. If everything is okay, then you'll need to decide whether you need DirectQuery or complex transformations but then using import.
