Scatter plot hierarchy issue over continous time frame.
Hello.
Working with a really simple dummy dataset to test a theory before taking my dumb ideas to the office.
I want to bubble chart to visualise incoming sales opportunities.
I'm simply graphic "Sales maturity stage", "Expected Revenue", "Expected sales day", and "Type of account."
X-Axis: Time (I checked that this is a date type)
Y-Axis "Stage" (Numeric categorical)
Size = Revenue (Nymeric)
Legend = Sector (text)
I can't find the "type Categorical" under the "Format your visual"
When I apply the legend, the model breaks; it's no longer showing the "bubbles" on a time continuum, it breaks it down to "one timeline per legend".
After applying legend:

HI Areschoug
This is a known limitation of Power BI scatter charts. When a legend is used alongside a hierarchical X-axis, the visual does not behave correctly. Wne we add a legend forces the chart to sort by a single column from the hierarchy, which breaks the intended sorting logic because the parent–child hierarchy levels are not preserved.
I find a slmilar questions whare show with blank values solve the problems and another alternet could be using the Deneb Custom Visual.
Thanks

Thank you for your above suggestion of using a plugin. It seems to be the viable option here.
(Why they created it like this is just beyond me - but I'm not a smart man)
However, using a plugin will require a business account in PBI, and that stops me from exploring it on my own time. Therefore, I cannot accept either suggestion as the solution because I simply haven't tried it.- lbendlinSuper User
