Scatter Plot to have color and shape represent different dimension

I am creating a quadrant chart, I want the color of the marker change based on written DAX and also want to use shape of marker to denote category variable in my chart.   However, it seems, we have to drag the category variable to legend field so that we can assign different shape to different categories.  Once the category is on legend field, the formula DAX to control color become ineffective, the color represent category instead.    So it seems like in powerBI,  shape and color can only represent the variable dropped in legend field?      Is there a solution to achive what I want?

Hi @myale86 -Power BI’s built-in capabilities limit the ability to simultaneously control both shape and color independently with full flexibility.exploring custom visuals or potentially submitting feedback to Microsoft for future enhancements in Power BI might be your best option.

Hope the above information helps.

Hi @myale86

As rajendraongole1 mentioned, when you use the legend, it cannot set the color by dax,you can only set the color manually in marker.
