Same sql server query gives Different Count of rows in SSMS and PBI

Hello guys,

To design a report ,i am using SQL server as backend data source .

but the same query gaves a different count of rows in power bi desktop and in Sql server Management Studio .

For more clarification find below snap of ssms result window and PBI query editor -> count row window.

pbi1.PNGSSMS.PNG

Same query gives 42666 count in SQL Server while PBI gives only 28529.

Thank You in advance

Regards,

Vivek Chavan

Hi @v-cherch-msft

Thanks for your response , In my case I am using Direct Query mode for extracting the data from SQL Server.

My problem still persists.

Could you please again check on this..!!!

Hi @Anonymous

It seems you may try to check if there are any filters in Query Editor.
