Power BI ensures encryption of data in transit and encryption of data at rest.Power BI adheres to a variety of compliance standards, including GDPR, HIPAA, ISO/IEC 27001, and SOC 2.
Power BI operates in a multi-tenant environment, ensuring isolation of data across different organizations.
Power BI uses Azure Traffic Manager to direct user traffic to the nearest datacenter, improving performance and security.
A real-world example is a financial institution that uses Power BI to analyze transactional data. They implement RBAC to restrict access to sensitive financial reports. Only authorized personnel can view transaction details, ensuring confidentiality. In addition, they utilize data encryption to protect customer accounts and comply with privacy regulations.
