It now only This worked before the October 2022 release. This issue exists in teh Power BI service as well. Does anyone know of a workaround?
Have exactly the same issue, are you running the data from an Analysis Services database?
edited to add print screen of result. If I summarize by something that's not a number I get an "unable to convert a value to the data type requested for table".
Here is an example of what used to work but is no longer working (myMeasure is the measure):
SUMMARIZECOLUMNS
( //group by columns
'Table1'[LastName]
,'Table1'[City]
//filter the table
,FILTER('Table1','Table1'[State]="Texas")
//calculation expressions
,"Income",SUM('Table1'[Income])
,"MyMeasureCalc",MAX('Table1'[myMeasure]) //this causes a failure because it is a measure. This worked prior to October 2022 release.
)
@RickEpstein , I tried this and it worked, net is my measure
