SSAS tabular model vs power bi data model - storage

Hi,

 

We have an oracle data warehouse and doing some evaluation on whether to use SSAS tabular model or power bi model.

 

If use SSAS tabular data model, is it the case that will in effect be storing the data 3 times if use import mode.

 

e.g if import to ssas to create the model and then use ssas as data source in power bi?

    I think so. I wouldnt understand why you would import the model if using SSAS. Leveraging the SSAS engine could be a lot more beneficial especially with larger datasets.
