SSAS live connection grayed out

Solved it meself with a bit of judicious forum searching. Apologies for clogging up the forum.
The answer is that all formatting has to be done in SSAS itself.

Or, if you can't be bothered... use the Data Category property in the column properties in SSDT.

JT-DLPLC Per your title you are using a live connection. This disables the vast majority of the modeling capability in Power BI. If you want to add the "URL" data catagory you need to do that in the SSAS model. There are only a few modeling things you can do in PowerBI.
