SSAS Roles Reflection PowerBI

Hello Everyone!

Quick question, having a model on SSAS linked to PowerBI via DirectQuery, is it possible to create roles (based on windows authentication), in which if they are part of this list they will be able to see everything on the report (report-suers, but if they are not, the report will be blank (report-non-users)?

Hi @Anonymous,

We cannot define roles within Power BI Desktop for Analysis Services live connections. We will need to do that within the Analysis Services model. Please refer to below article for details:
