As mentioned in document:

 

Multidimensional model expose calculated members on attribute hierarchies as values of a column. 

 

I don't think there's any solution other than creating "Calculated members on user hierarchies". Please sumbit your feedback on idea.

Have you tried using the numeric slicer that is in 'Preview' at the moment?

 

Go to Options -> Preview features -> tick 'Numeric range slicer'.

 

Add the 'Slicer' visualization to your page, with a Date dimension as field. Click on the downwards arrow that is on the header and select 'Relative'. Then set the relative filter to 'This - Month'.
