SQL Server connector uncertified

In addition to the information provided by Royel, please follow the steps below to use an uncertified custom connector:

1. Place the connector file with the extension .pq, .pqx, .m or .mez in the local folder: [Documents]\Microsoft Power BI Desktop\Custom Connectors. If this folder does not exist, create it.
2. To modify the data extension security settings in Power BI Desktop, go to File > Options and settings > Options > Security.
3. Under Data Extensions, select (Not Recommended) Allow any extension to load without validation or warning.
4. Select OK, and then restart Power BI Desktop.

The default Power BI Desktop data extension security setting is (Recommended) Only allow Microsoft certified and other trusted third-party extensions to load. With this setting, if there are uncertified custom connectors on your system, the “Uncertified Connectors” dialog box appears at Power BI Desktop startup, listing the connectors that cannot be securely loaded.

To dismiss the message if you do not need to use the connectors in the current session, select OK in the pop-up dialog box.
To prevent the message from appearing in future sessions, either change your Data Extensions security setting or remove the uncertified connectors from the Custom Connectors folder.
