Hi.
I Have been struggling to delete (clear permissions from) a data source from SQL Server under the File>Options and Settings>Data Source Settings>Data Sources in Current File. It doesnt go away after clearing permissions and isnt visible in the Report View either under Fields for me to try and delete/Remove it from there. As such, I am no longer able to log into that server via PBI even with a new report (cant import or do a direct query). 😫
Please help?
Thank you.
@Bets It is probably in the global settings still. Go to data source settings, then look at the global permissions (at the top). Find your SQL server from before and and delete it there.

Thank you @DataZoe . I checked there too and there are no data sources listed there either.
@Bets That is weird. When desktop is running a little wierd, I would check to make sure you have the most current version installed. What version of Power BI Desktop are you running? Is it Version: 2.79.5768.1082 64-bit (March 2020)?
