Morning all
Can you please hekp with the following question. Thank you
All columns are staying the same and there are no additional columns being addded. All I am doing is making a tweak to a CASE STEMENT in the SQL.
My question is - do I need to refresh the SQL in PBI desktop and republish or will the publish version automatically pick up the change on the scheduled refresh
Many thanks
Karen
@KarenFingerhut , if you talking about adding more data, you need to schedule incremental refresh
or refresh data set in power bi service. That might require on-premise gateway

Hi
Thanks for replying
Im not adding more data im just changing the case statement in the SQL so data is split differently in the current categories contained within the SQL case statement
I already have a scheduled daily refresh. So I was just waindering do I need to refresh the data in desktop to capture the change in the case statement or will the scheduled refresh pick it up in the PBI service (without refreshing desktop and republishing)
Thanks
Karen
