SET SOME TABLE NOT TO REFRESH

Hello Community,

see below 4 tables in the model, where table FY15-23YTDEXP, is historical data, there is no reason to refresh it whenever I refresh all.

I tried to rightclick it in powerquery, but did not see a link not to refresh ( or similiar function).

reaching out for help, thank you - Zoey

see below image.

  • Hi Zoey,

    The difference between both:

    1. Enable load: This option determines whether the data from the query is loaded into the data model. If you uncheck this, the data won’t be available for use in your reports.

    2. Include in report refresh: This option controls whether the query is refreshed when you refresh the report. If you uncheck this, the query won’t be updated with new data during a refresh.

So, in your case, you should disable only 'Include in report refresh'

  • What do you get when you right click on the table?

Thank you for getting back. I put it into powerbi desktop instead of power query directly, and i did see "endable load" and "include in report refresh"

should i uncheck both or just enable load?

      thank you

      Zoey
